YOUTH EDUCATION GARDEN GRANTS DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS, FEBURARY 15TH, 2024 Grants will be awarded at our general meeting, MONDAY 11TH 2024 AT 7:00 PM at the senior center. Last spring we funded Huang Po (Grace), Glacier Peak High School through our Youth Education Grant Program to introduce the highschoolers to the importance and role of Bamboo in Chinese culture. Her class studied Bamboo habitat and the connections between horticulture and daily life Becca Ross, Cascade View Elementary received a 2021-22 Youth Education Grant to plant bulbs in the school's garden area. Her goal was for the Kindergartners to learn science observation skills, understand parts of the flowers and provide community service through school beautification and sharing flowers with neighbors
