Ponds and Bog Gardens by Rose Nicoletti
God gives everyone special talents in life and I have loved plants as long as I can remember. Both of my parents were avid gardeners. I started my first garden before I started grade school. I was involved in FFA in high school which led me into the LA beautiful competition. This competition was transforming a yard and redesigning and planting it. I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo were I studied veterinary medicine but ended up leaving school after 2 years with my MRS degree. We moved to Snohomish were I taught art at Snohomish High for adult night school. I continued landscaping my own house and friends houses until our kids were old enough for me to start my own business. I started Nicoletti’s Landscape Design in 1989. In the 30 years of being in business I learned many skills such as, pond design, yard and commercial design, rockery, sprinkler systems, and commercial landscaping. I also started doing wedding flowers and became a tile setter. It’s been a fun ride and has taken me on adventures from the Columbia Towers in Seattle to Florida. I am currently semi retired and have moved back into pottery which I did in college and am active in the rhododendron society. I live on a beautiful 5 acre property outside Snohomish with my wonderful husband Bruce of 45 years. We both have so many interest that we are finding that we never have enough time for everything.
